Beryllium, pronounced buh RIHL ee uhm, is a rare, light-gray metallic element. Beryllium never occurs in nature as a pure metal. But it is found in bertrandite, beryl, chrysoberyl, phenacite, and other minerals. Beryl and bertrandite are the most important sources of beryllium.
Beryllium has an atomic number of 4 and an atomic weight of 9.012182. Its chemical symbol is Be. Beryllium is a brittle, lightweight metal with one of the highest melting points of all light metals. It melts at temperatures from 1273 to 1283 °C and boils at 2970 °C. At 20 °C, it has a density of 1.848 grams per cubic centimeter.
X rays pass easily through pure beryllium. For this reason, the metal is used to make small windows in X-ray tubes. Beryllium's light weight and its capacity for absorbing and conducting heat make it useful for specialized parts in satellites, missiles, and rockets. An alloy of beryllium and copper is used to make electrical parts, such as electrically conducting springs. Beryllium oxide is a good heat conductor but a poor electrical conductor. It is used as a heat-conducting electrical insulator in electronic devices and lasers.
If beryllium dust is inhaled, it can cause berylliosis, a chronic lung disease that is sometimes fatal. Some scientists believe beryllium may also produce lung cancer. The United States government has set safety standards to protect workers from excessive exposure to the metal and its compounds. The atomic number is my favourite number, and the element letters are the initials of my two last names! and the atomic weight is my previous phone number.

Toronto is a very old city. It used to be surrounded by York and Etobicoke until it devoured them and became a megacity. Then it started taking over the forest with suburbs to make homes for immagrants and people who want to be stereotypical americans. Thats what toronto looks like from an overhead view. Down town is really cool, home of the CN tower, tallest tower in the world, for now. In tokyo their making that huge building. Which the guy who thought of the idea should get a big smack in the head, because giant buildings and earthquakes don't mix that well. Meh, if it falls mabye it'll teach them a lesson. Anyway, about downtown, QUEEN STREET!!! its areally cool place to go, even if you only have a couple bucks. Theres lots of cool stores like Black Market and the ginormous HMV!!!

be lots of rappers and stuff in Toronto, but I'm going to talk about
the rock and punk rock. Also some jazz because jazz is cool. If you
want to go see some jazz you can go to the Top
of the Senator.There are lots of
cool bands in Toronto such as Bendouiin Soundclash, RAising the Fawn,
lots of bands visit Toronto too, Alexis on Fire, The
Weakerthans(Winnepeg), lots of popular bands too but I cant remember
what they are.For more stuff about bands go to my website.

Food in Toronto
There are lots of good
places to eat in Toronto.
Theres a cool place on Queen street called sushi
Time. Its cool even to
just hang out, well you have to buy something so just get the teryaki
plate if noone likes sushi. I don't.
Theres also beavertails something you'll only find in Canada. They're
really good. Theres also
all the fast food. But I usually only eat at Harveys, Swiss Chalet,
Pizza Pizza and Tim Hortons beacause they are Canadian. Well, not Tim
Hortons but it used to be canadian.Grrrrr.
